Within these ancient halls, shadows whisper your name and the moon bears silent witness to your awakening. Here, you will find kinship, power, and purpose beneath the eternal veil. Feed wisely, walk proudly, and remember - the night now belongs to you.
Follow Your Sire to the Crypt
After your embrace, your sire will guide you to obtain the Progeny HUD. In House Ilaros Vezhor, this process takes place inside the crypt.
Access the Altar Mechanism
Sit on the altar. It will automatically open beneath you.
Enter the Chamber
Once the altar opens, lie down on the black and red chamber inside.
Accept the HUD
A prompt will appear offering you the Progeny HUD. Click Accept.
Unpack the HUD
Add the HUD to your avatar, then unpack it.
Inside the package you will find two items:
The HUD
The Fangs
Handling the Fangs (Recommended Method)
The default fangs are not visually ideal. To hide them:
Add the fangs to your avatar.
In your inventory, right-click the fangs and choose Edit.
Move the fangs into the center of your head so they are completely hidden.
Because they cannot be made transparent, hiding them is the most effective solution.
To Bite you must be under 2m from your target:
Click the Fang image on the HUD
Select your target
Choose the option "Ravage" for fastest feeding.
Stop feeding when the HUD reports "Near Death"
You should scan your victim before you bite them to make sure of their health status and to see if they are a vampire or not.
It is safest to feed only on healthy humans
Please get into the habit of scanning yourself. Self scans should be posted into the discord channel at least 2 times per week so that Prince Arian (or your sire) can monitor your health.
The self scan will tell you how much blood you need and give you other information that is important (potency, age etc).
In the crypt, you will see a special chair used for managing your blood supply. This chair allows you to deposit, withdraw, and transfer blood to other members of the House.
Checking Your Blood Level
Sit in the chair.
The chair will display your current blood level.
For fledglings, the maximum capacity is 5L this till increase with age
Example:
If your blood level is 4L, you may withdraw 1L to bring yourself back to full capacity.
Withdrawing Blood
Select Withdraw.
Choose Amount.
Select Send.
Pay the chair $5L to complete the withdrawal.
Depositing Blood
As a new vampire, it is good practice to hunt regularly and keep your blood reserves healthy.
To deposit blood:
Sit in the chair.
Select Deposit.
Choose the Amount you wish to store.
Confirm the action.
You may make as many deposits as you like. Depositing works the same way as withdrawing, just in the opposite direction.
Why Keep a Blood Reserve?
Maintaining a healthy balance in your “blood bank” is extremely useful—especially for times when you are unable to hunt. A strong reserve ensures you can stay healthy, active, and prepared for House duties without interruption.
Scanning the Target
Before initiating a feed, scan the human using your HUD. Confirm their health status - only feed from those who are healthy. A healthy human can safely lose up to 2 litres of blood without fatality.
⚠️ Do not kill your target. Allowing them to recover maintains a stable feeding population and prevents unwanted attention.
Bite Positioning
When preparing to bite, stand facing the target. You may position yourself from the front, side, or rear, as long as you remain within 2 metres. Ensure you have a clear angle to the neck or primary vein.
Executing the Bite
On your HUD, select “Bite”, then choose “Ravage.”
This option delivers the fastest and most efficient extraction of blood.
Post-Feed Protocol
After feeding, verify that the target remains alive. If possible, leave them in a safe area to recover naturally. Dispose of any evidence of feeding activity.
As a Fledgling, you are under protection for your first 30 days within progeny. During this period, no vampire may challenge or attack you, and you are likewise forbidden from engaging in combat with other vampires.
While you cannot fight, combat training is available through the clan’s instructors. You are strongly encouraged to participate in training sessions and develop your skills early. Doing so will prepare you for the transition to Mature status, when full combat rights - and responsibilities - are granted.
It is essential that you feed regularly to maintain your strength and avoid falling into a coma state. Failure to feed weakens both the body and the mind, endangering not only yourself but also the reputation of the house.
If you are unable to feed for an extended period, you should enter into hibernation instead. This will preserve your vitality and prevent unnecessary strain on the House.
⚠️ Note: Vampires who lapse into a coma are considered a liability to Ilaros Vehzor and reflect poorly on the discipline of the entire house.
